Yeni Yüzyil University, a private university founded in Istanbul in 2009, first opened its doors to students in 2011. The name of the university translates from Turkish as “New Century”, reflecting the institution’s commitment to preparing students adapted to modern realities. Currently, there are more than 10,000 students studying here at 10 faculties, 2 professional schools and 3 institutes. The main language of instruction at the university is Turkish. However, for programs such as “English Language and Literature”, “English Translation and Translation Studies” at the Faculty of Humanities, and “Nutrition and Dietetics” at the Faculty of Health Sciences, instruction is in English. Yeni Yuzyil University is equipped with specialized laboratories and research centers, such as the Forensic Medicine Laboratory, which contributes to the development of scientific research. Yeni Yüzyil University has five campuses in different districts of Istanbul. The main campus is located in the Topkapi neighborhood on the European side of the city. The seven-story campus building is equipped with modern medical, scientific and computer laboratories, workshops, television, broadcasting and photography studios. The campus also has an extensive library, lecture and study halls, a conference hall, a dance hall and a canteen. Most of the academic process of the university is conducted here. The Faculty of Dentistry, located on the European side of Istanbul, occupies an eight-story building that houses academic and administrative units, classrooms and specialized laboratories. The campus is equipped with operating rooms and an admission department. Yeni Yuziyil University’s Gaziosmanpaşa Hospital also serves as a campus and includes the Faculty of Medicine. Here, undergraduate students receive hands-on training and internships, gaining valuable experience in state-of-the-art operating rooms and patient rooms. The Shirinevler Campus is the newest campus and serves as the site for the Center for Continuing Education and Research’s educational programs.
