Mudanya University is one of the youngest private universities in Turkey, founded in 2022 in the province of Bursa. Today, the university’s students are enrolled in three faculties, one professional school and one postgraduate institute. One of the key advantages of Mudanya University is the opportunity to gain real work experience while still studying. The University applies innovative 3+1 and 7+1 educational models, which imply that during one semester students will receive full practical training at the enterprises cooperating with the University. Through this educational model, students can become more familiar with the industry and their specialty while gaining valuable hands-on experience at one of more than 100 partner institutions. In addition, Mudanya University is actively engaged in the development of scientific research, which is supported by state-of-the-art laboratories and two specialized centers: the Center for Applied Research and Continuing Education (MUDUSEM) and the Center for Applied Research and Turkish Language Teaching (MUDUTOMER).
Despite its recent establishment, the University of Mudanya has already concluded international agreements under the Erasmus+ program, as well as bilateral agreements. In particular, the university cooperates with the University of the South and the College of Agriculture and Mechanics located in the state of Louisiana, USA. This cooperation covers joint educational and research activities, exchange of students for research internships, exchange of students at the pre-baccalaureate, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels, and exchange of academic and administrative staff. In addition, a cooperation agreement between Mudanya University and the International University of Kyrgyzstan has been concluded, emphasizing the university’s commitment to expanding international interaction and strengthening academic ties.
Given that Mudanya University was founded in 2022, it has not yet managed to enter the international rankings. The campus of Mudanya University is impressive in its scale and facilities. It has one of the largest libraries in Turkey, two conference halls with a capacity of 520 people, 48 multifunctional laboratories and classrooms, three lecture theaters with a capacity of 300 people, and five workshops and studios. The central campus, built on an indoor area of 27,500 m² and an outdoor area of 22,000 m², combines state-of-the-art educational resources with a comfortable space for teaching and research.
