About Gelisim University

Istanbul Gelisim University is a private, non-profit university in Istanbul. Although it was founded in 2008, the university has already established itself as a modern institution providing high quality education. There are three faculties, two vocational schools and three institutes. At the moment the university has about 39,000 students from different countries, which creates a unique international environment for learning and exchange of experience. The university’s campus in the European part of Istanbul includes an extensive research complex with more than 100 laboratories available to students. In addition, the university has more than 20 research centers that deal with 10 different fields ranging from automotive to health care and 5 subject libraries. Istanbul Gelisim University actively supports entrepreneurship and innovation among students and faculty by providing them with resources and counseling to realize their projects and ideas. The university has a technology development office and a research project coordination department and offers internship programs. In addition to 81 student clubs where students can participate in social, cultural, academic and sporting events, Gelisim University regularly organizes student integration activities such as Coffee Talks, Movie Nights and English Speaking activities.
