About Gedik University

Istanbul Gedik University was founded in 1994 and today comprises 6 faculties with more than 200 academic programs, most of which are taught in Turkish. In addition to academic programs, the university offers practical training in 19 research centers covering various fields including sociology, psychology, political science, social and natural sciences. The university combines its academic excellence and students with Gedik Holding’s 56 years of industrial experience, making this cooperation a valuable contribution to the economy. During their studies, students are actively involved in projects related to the university, industry and various sectors. In addition, the Gedik University Career Center offers students and alumni effective career planning through counseling, mentoring and events organized by experts and industry leaders in professional and academic fields. The University also provides opportunities to study abroad for one semester or academic year through bilateral agreements with partner universities in Europe, America and Asia, as well as through Erasmus+ student mobility programs.

At Istanbul Gedik University, engineering students have a unique opportunity to study in the International, European Welding Engineering (IWE/EWE) program with a 60% discount provided by Gedik Educational Foundation in their final year. The Gedik University campus offers students a variety of recreational and athletic opportunities. The campus has a soccer field, separate tennis courts and a multi-purpose indoor court for basketball, volleyball and handball. The Eagle Campus is the central campus and is home to administrative offices, undergraduate programs, graduate programs, and the School of Foreign Languages. The Halil Kaya Gedik Campus houses the main building of the university, as well as the faculties of Health Sciences, Sports Sciences and Gastronomy. The Çamlık Campus provides students with spacious sports facilities, including a soccer field and tennis courts. Gedik University even has its own radio, which as of 2018 has broadcast more than 4,272 podcasts featuring more than 1,500 experts.

Gedik University does not have its own dormitories. Eight dormitories with which the university has established cooperation are available for student accommodation, four each for boys and girls.

What documents are required to apply/register at a Turkish university?

To apply/register to Turkish universities, you need to provide the following documents:
