Although Bezmialem Vakif University was founded in 2010, its history dates back to 1845, when the first modern hospital in the Ottoman Empire, Bezmialem, was established. Today, the university educates more than 3,200 students in four faculties and a professional school taught by 700 distinguished academicians, both nationally and internationally.
